Photo by Kristopher Wells Three-year-old Zachary English gets fishing lessons from his uncle Jim Rose. The kids' fishing day at the State Ponds outside of Dearing on Saturday was organized by the Thomson Housing Authority. It attracted nearly 320 kids. Thomson Police Officers were also on hand to bait hooks. There were about 1,000 fish caught during the event. The next fishing day will take place on April 24.
