Mr. Kenny Palmer
Retired Mechanic

THOMSON, Ga. - Mr. Kenny Palmer, 74, beloved husband of Mrs. Gloria Palmer, died Monday, December 25, 2006, at his residence.

Funeral services were held 11a.m. Friday Dec. 29, 2006, in the Curtis Funeral Home Chapel, with Mr. Garry Palmer officiating. Burial followed in the Union Baptist Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Jeremy Hayes, Steven Palmer, Mathew Palmer, Robert Palmer, Kenny Palmer, and Wesley Prevette.

A native of Columbia County, Mr. Palmer was one of 13 children of the late Robert Edmund and Alice Marie Cox Palmer. He was a United States Army Veteran and retired from Two States Construction, where he had more than 15 years of service. Mr. Palmer was very active with the Belle Meade Hunt, mowing over 5,000 miles of trails.

Mr. Palmer is survived by wife, Gloria Palmer, of Thomson, sons and daughter-in-law, Michael and Kaye Palmer of Thomson, and Garry Palmer, of Thomson, Eddie and Shelley Palmer of Dearing, daughter and son-law, Angela and Jerald Josey of North Augusta; four sisters: Nell Meyer, Myrtis Prevette, Francis McMichael, and Alice Hammock; two brothers: Pierce Palmer and Gene Palmer, all of Thomson; eight grandchildren, one great granddaughter, several nieces and nephews.

Curtis Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
