THS thankful for support of December graduation ceremony

Dear Editor,

All of us at Thomson High School would like to express our sincere appreciation to those businesses and individuals who made our recent fall graduation a memorable and moving experience.

Among those who provided goods or who lent their time to make the graduation exercises successful were the following:

Bi-Lo of Thomson; Richard's Florist; Dudley's Nurseries; McDuffie County Board of Education members and members-elect; School and Community Nutrition Services of the McDuffie County School District; CrossRoads Learning Center Principal Steve Strouble; LifeTouch Photography; Howard Smith of H & R Campus Supply/Balfour; Thomson High School Custodial Staff; Director of Bands Jessie Morlan; Junior Class Officers Jerrica Bell, Destiny Van, Brittney Brinkley, and Emory McAvoy; Guidance Counselors Sheron Finnerty, Pat Farner, Jane Jones, and Richard Williams; and Executive Secretaries Ruby Steele and Robin Browning.

Thomson High School also is appreciative of our local media which helped to publicize this event.

We also extend our gratitude to Rev. Isaiah Eberhart, who urged the graduates to continue to strive for integrity and excellence, and to Dr. Michael Timmerman, who delivered the inspiring invocation. Finally, THS would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. and Mrs. Mark Petersen for their assistance in preparing for this event and their dedication to celebrating the achievements of these graduates. Because of these efforts, we were able to create a memorable milestone for our newest graduates.

Thomson High School is proud of these men and women for their determination and commitment. We salute them and their families for their accomplishments and eagerly anticipate their future endeavors. Congratulations, Class of 2006!

Best regards,

Lynn Cato

Assistant Principal
