Mr. Kenneth Faile
Ret. U.S. Army & Civil Service

APPLING, Ga. - Mr. Kenneth Faile, 66, of Appling, beloved husband, father and grandfather, entered into rest at his residence on December 28, 2005. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ms. Mary Dell Alford and his father Mr. John N. Faile.

Mr. Faile's kind heart, generous nature and fun-loving personality made him cherished by his family and many friends. For all of these qualities, he will be sorely missed; however, remembered with warmth and joy long after his passing.

Mr. Faile retired from the U.S. Army and Federal Civil Service after 33 years of duty. Along with his wife, Mr. Faile sold real estate for the Meybohm Company of Evans. In his retired life, one of Mr. Faile's greatest joys was spending time with his loved ones on the family farm. Mr. Faile's life and career took him as far North as the Arctic Circle and as far South as Antarctica. He loved his career as a soldier. He served two tours of duty in Korea and is also a Vietnam Veteran. He was featured in several military press articles for volunteering his skill as a magician for orphans in both Korea and Vietnam. Mr. Faile's greatest passion in life was his dedication to family. His deep love for being a father and husband shone brightly in his everyday life.

Mr. Faile is survived by his loving wife Mrs. Jane B. Faile. He is also survived by three daughters, Mrs. Mary Faile-Hood (Mr. Alan Hood), Mrs. Theresa Faile Shelton (Mr. Christopher Shelton), Anne Faile Davis (Mr. Roger Davis); and a son, Mr. Kenneth Neal Faile. Mr. Faile also leaves behind two loved granddaughters, Bailey Sophia Anne Davis and Gabrielle Kenna Davis. Four sisters-in-law, Ms. Ursula Barton, Mrs. Michelle Stansberry, Ms. Mary Alice Brown and Ms. Avery McKee, will also miss Mr. Faile.

The Memorial Mass was held at 1 p.m. on Monday, January 2, 2006 at Queen of Angels Catholic Church, 1326 Washington Road, Thomson, with Full Military Honors accorded by the Fort Gordon Ceremonial Detachment.

Elliott Sons Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
