Ivey-Mitts Jessie Lee and Eloise Ivey, both of Thomson, would like to announce the engagement of their daughter Rachel Yalanda Ivey of Thomson, to Alton Mitts of Gibson, son of Robert Mitts of Thomson and Ms. Annie Ruth Mitts of Gibson. Miss Ivey is the granddaughter of Willie Combs and Dora Johnson of Crawfordville and Mr. and Mrs. Willie F. Ivey of Thomson. She is a graduate of Thomson High School and an active member of Greenbranch Baptist Church in Thomson. Mr. Mitts is the grandson of Mary Brown and George Willie Brown and Irene Mitts and Robert Mitts. He is a graduate of Glascock County Consolidated High School, an assistant foreman at Thiele Kaolin and an active member of Piney Grove Baptist Church in Gibson.
