THOMSON, Ga. - Mr. Percy E. Hammock, 92, beloved husband of Mrs. Mabel Norris Hammock, died Wednesday, January 2, 2008, in the Cumming Nursing Home in Cumming, Ga.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Friday, January 4, in the Curtis Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Jim Ramsey officiating. Burial was in the Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Hammock was a native of McDuffie County. He was a decorated Veteran member of the 69th Fighter Squadron, U.S. Army Air Corps during W.W. II. He was a member of the Thomson First Baptist Church, where he was a member of the Men's Bible Class. He had retired from the Warner Robins Air Force Base.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mabel Norris Hammock and was preceded in death by his first wife, Margaret Appling. Additional survivors include a sister-in-law, Mrs. Alice Hammock; and several stepchildren and several nieces and nephews.
