Mr. W.L. Turner
Retired Deputy Sheriff

DEARING, Ga. - Mr. W.L. Turner, 82, beloved husband of Mrs. Nancy Turner, died Sunday, December 30, at his residence.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Thursday, January 3, in the Curtis Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Eddie Renew officiating. Burial was in the Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Turner was a native of Wilkes County, but had lived in Dearing many years. He was a retired Deputy Sheriff with McDuffie County. He was a World War II veteran and a member of Dearing Full Gospel Church.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Nancy Turner, Dearing; his two daughters, Catherine Alberson, Lexington S.C. and Brenda Tucker, Lake Sinclair, Ga.; a step-son, Ray Smith, Cope, S.C.; a sister, Mrs. Betty Martin, Conyers, Ga.; seven grandchildren and several great- grandchildren.

Pallbearers were McDuffie County Sheriff Deputies.

Curtis Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
