THOMSON, Ga. - Mr. Cleveland 'Pete' Hunt, 79, beloved husband of Mrs. Doris Hunt, died Friday, December 30, 2005, in the McDuffie Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 3, 2006, in the Thomson First Baptist Church with Dr. Jim Ramsey and Dr. Leonard Dupree officiating.
Burial followed in the Westview Cemetery.
A native of Thomson, Mr. Hunt was a U.S. Air Force Veteran, serving during the Korean Conflict. He was the former owner of Hunt Chrysler Plymouth, and was a member of the Thomson Kiwanis, the men's pool club, and a member of Thomson First Baptist Church, where he was a member of the men's Bible class and a Deacon.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Doris Faircloth Hunt, of Thomson; two daughters and sons-in-law: Gena Hunt and Tom Cole of Kennesaw, Lane Hunt and Gary Foster of Marietta; sister: Louise Hunt of Spartanburg, SC; four grandchildren: Andrew Cole, Katie Cole, Sarah Foster and Daniel Hunt Foster.
Pallbearers were Joe Wills, John Daniels, Mike Joesbury, James Freeman, Tommy Phelps, Russell Garry, Joe McCommons, Nat Greene and Stacy Turner, Jr. Honorary Pallbearers were the Men's Bible class of Thomson First Baptist Church.
