THOMSON, Ga. - Mr. Hardwick W. Norris, 81, beloved husband of Annie Molene Norris died Tuesday January 3, 2006 in the McDuffie Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, January 6, in the Curtis Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Richardson officiating. Burial followed in the Westview Cemetery.
Pallbearers were G.T. Norris, James Norris, Wayne Norris, John Alvin Brooks, Bill Welch, and Charles Reese.
Mr. Norris was a native of Glascock County, but had lived in Thomson for 60 years, a son of the late James Samuel and Sallie Williams Norris, a U.S. Army World War II Veteran and retired after 41 years of service as owner and operator of Norris upholstery. He was of the Holiness Faith.
He is survived by wife, Annie Molene Norris, of Thomson; son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Martha Norris of Thomson; two sisters, Edna Norris of Gibson and Fannie Bell Johnson, of Warrenton; two grandchildren, Jason C. (Renee) Norris, of Harlem and Stephanie N. Norris, of Thomson; two great-grandchildren, Allen Melcher-Norris and Savannah Price, several nieces and nephews.
Curtis Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
