The Affordable Auto Glass and the Auto X-tras businesses have moved from Augusta Highway to a new location in the heart of Thomson.

"I think we will do well here," said Jonathan Cushman, owner of Affordable Auto Glass, as he and Scott Corbitt, owner of Auto X-tras, worked on sprucing up the new building at 111 Jackson Street last week.
"This will be more convenient for people to come by," Mr. Cushman said. "This is a nice location."
The building near the Thomson Depot had previously housed another glass company and a gas station.
Affordable Auto Glass and Auto X-tras opened the doors to brisk business last week with some services offered including windshield replacement, windshield repair, spray in bedliners, window tinting, pinstriping and upholstery cleaning.
"There's a big demand for window tinting," Mr. Cushman said.
"After we get up and going, we'll be offering truck accessories," he added. Those accessories will include "anything you need for a truck" from grill guards to decals to tool boxes, said Mr. Cushman, who has been in business about five years.
He and Mr. Corbitt, both natives of Thomson, were previously located at 885 Augusta Highway.
The shop is open 8 a.m.- 5 p.m. Monday-Friday, and the phone number is 595-0844.
