KEYSVILLE, Ga.- Mr. Ernest Willie Amerson, 60, died Saturday, January 8, 2005 in the Gibson Health and Rehab following declining health.
He was born in Burke County on June 3, 1944, a son of the late John Willie Amerson and Rosa Lee Windon Amerson and had lived most of his life in Keysville. He was of the Baptist faith and was a former employee of Georgia-Tennessee Mining Company.
Survivors include his daughter, Michelle Hall of Wrens; stepchildren, Janice Wilcher, Carolyn Prickett and David Hall, all of Wrens; sisters, Bessie Atkinson of Waynesboro and Lucille Stewart of Perkins; a brother, John Willie Amerson of Thomson; half-brothers, Clarence Atkinson and Johnny Atkinson; half-sisters, Katherine Petrey and Jenny Simpson; grandchildren, John Aaron King, Aaron Robert King, Leslie Palmore and dear good friend, Kenny Jenkins.
Graveside services were held on Tuesday, January 11, 2005 at 3 p.m. in the Keysville United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Bill Arrington officiating.
Pallbearers were comprised of Sam Prickett, Larry Prickett, Steven Wilcher, Ricky Prickett, Curtis Unruh and Donnie Prickett.
Funeral arrangements for Mr. Ernest Willie Amerson were conducted by the DeLoach-Kennedy Funeral Home of Waynesboro.
