The Briarwood basketball teams continued to pick up steam last week as both the girls and boys squads defeated region foe Gatewood Academy.
The girls, whose record now stands at 8-7 overall and 3-3 in region play, defeated the Gators 59-51. The guys, who have a 5-5 overall record and a 4-2 mark in the region, beat Gatewood 56-48.
