Mrs. Polly Nora Kitchens

THOMSON, Ga. - Mrs. Polly Nora Kitchens, 77, Wrightsboro Road, N.W., entered into rest Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2004.

A daughter of the late John Wesley and Nora Mae Freeman Whitener of Wilkes County, Mrs.Kitchens was a native of Wilkes County, but had lived in Thomson for the past 45 years, was a member of Sweetwater Baptist Church and a retired employee of Thomson Company.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Jan. 10, 2004 from graveside in Resthaven Cemetery in Washington, Ga. at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Ken Garvin officiating.

Survivors include two brothers, Henry Whitener, Washington and Lee Whitener, Thomson; two sisters, Doris Burhart, Dearing and Reba Edmonds, Thomson.

Pallbearers were Kim Edmonds, Daniel Whitener, Wesley Whitener, David Land, Buster Holbert and James Richards.

John B. Johnson, funeral director, was in charge of arrangements.
