Davis-Dunn to wed at Sweetwater

Mr. and Mrs. Alfred L. "Joe" Davis of Thomson would like to announce the engagement of their daughter, Lindsay Jolane Davis, to Jerry Lee Dunn, son of Mr. and Mrs. James D. Dunn Jr. of Clarkesville, Ga. The wedding is planned for Saturday, February 16, 2008, at 6 p.m. at Sweetwater Baptist Church in Thomson.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Jessie Mae and the late Mr. George Layton and the late Mr. and Mrs. Harold Davis, all of Chelsea, Okla. She is a graduate of Thomson High School, Georgia College and State University, and Troy University and is currently pursuing another master's degree from Augusta State University. She is employed by Lincoln County Elementary School as a school counselor.

The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Mr. Lawrence F. Callaway and the late Mrs. Annette Ogletree Callaway of Greensboro and Mr. James D. Dunn Sr. and the late Mrs. Virginia Dunn of Sparta. He is a graduate of Nathanael Greene Academy and Augusta Technical Institute. He is employed by First Bank of Georgia as an IT Officer.
