Mrs. Mary Hamilton Gunby

THOMSON, Ga. - Mrs. Mary Hamilton Gunby, 82, widow of James Aubrey Gunby Sr., died Monday January 8, 2007 in the Warrenton Health and Rehabilitation Center in Warrenton.

Graveside services were held 11 a.m. Thursday January 11, 2007 in the Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens with Dr. Ron Drawdy officiating.

Mrs. Gunby was a native of McDuffie County, a homemaker and a Member of Second Baptist Church and the Adult II Sunday School class. Mrs. Gunby was preceded in death by her husband Aubrey Gunby Sr, and a son Freddy Gunby, and is survived by: 6 sons, James (Gayle) Gunby Jr., Donnie Gunby, Craig (Linda) Gunby, Clay Gunby, Bob Gunby, & Joe (Kelli) Gunby all of Thomson, 1 daughter, Vicki Gunby, of Thomson, 1 brother, Sterling Hamilton of Thomson, 1 sister, Annie Amerson of Thomson, 14 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Curtis Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
