AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Connie Knox Welch, 48, entered into rest Sunday, January 14, 2007, at her residence.
Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, January 17, 2007, in the Kiokee Cemetery, Schucraft Road, Appling, Ga., with the Dr. Don Widener officiating.
Mrs. Welch was born in Augusta and was a school bus driver for Columbia County Board of Education. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church.
Survivors include Eddie Welch, Harlem; two sons, Wayne Welch and wife Amy, Richard Welch and wife Niaya, both of Harlem; one daughter Alesia Welch James and husband Andy, Harlem; one brother James Knox, Norwood; one sister Billie Sweeney, Thomson; five grandchildren, Nikki Welch, Ali Welch, Baili Welch, Morgan Gray and Tyler Gray.
Pallbearers were Michael Welch, Wayne Welch, Richard Welch, Andy James, Seth Holley and Anthony Turner.
