PRATTVILLE, Ala. - Mr. Royce Edward Cason of 105 Willow Oak DR. Prattville Ala., formally of Thomson, entered into rest January 11, 2006 at VA Medical Center in Augusta.
Survivors include a son, Shane Cason (RuthAnn), Montgomery, Ala.; mother, Vivian Thrailkill, Thomson; brother, Charles Williams , N. Augusta, S.C.; sister, Judy Marie Newsome, Thomson; and grandchildren, Cameron and Mallory Cason.
Mr. Cason was a born in Wilkes County and grew up in Thomson. He was a Police Officer at the Montgomery Airport, was retired from the U. S. Army after 22 years, served during Vietnam 41st Scout Dog Platoon Quin Lay 1st Inf. Div. 1968-1969. Mr. Cason spent most of his life training dogs for scout, drug sniffing, and security.
Funeral Services were held 11 a.m. Saturday, January 14, 2006 at Beggs Funeral Home with Rev. Sue Meehan officiating. Interment followed in the Marshall Baptist Cemetery.
Beggs Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
