HARLEM, Ga. - Mrs. Karen Shively McGraw, 50, of Harlem, entered into rest January 13, 2006 at MCG. She was the beloved wife of Tommy McGraw.
Survivors include her husband, Tommy McGraw, Harlem; four daughters:, Jennifer (Brian) Love, Dearing, Kristina Potter- Greenville, S.C., Melanie (Alan) Baldwin, Harlem, and Stephanie Potter, Harlem; mother, Thelma Louise Shively, Springfield, Ohio; brothers, R. Gene Shively (Sondra), Springfield, Ohio, Dr. Fredrick Shively (Kay), Anderson, Indiana, Robert Shively (Bev) Springfield, Ohio, Dan Shively (Georgia), Greenville, S.C.; sister, Linda Cochran (Ronnie), Sringfield , Ohio; stepchildren, Nathan McGraw, Martinez, and Amanda McGraw, Atlanta; grandchildren, Madelyn Potter, Hunter Love, Taylor Rae Baldwin.
She was preceded in death by a brother Stephen Shively.
Mrs. McGraw was born in Springfield, Ohio, had lived in Harlem since 1993 coming from Nebraska. She attended Gulf Coast Bible College in Houston, TX and later enrolled in Logos European College earning a degree in Christian Education. Mrs. McGraw also worked at Southern Bible Seminary and Second Baptist Church.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2006 at Second Baptist Church with Pastor Ron Drawdy and Dr. Gene Greer officiating.
Pallbearers were Brian Love, Alan Baldwin, Nathan McGraw, Alan Johnson, Jarrod Adkins and Brian Shoemaker.
Interment followed at Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens.
