Miss Mattie Beall Oxford Homemaker DEARING, Ga.- Miss Mattie Beall Oxford, 85, of Iron Hill Road entered into rest Saturday, Jan. 17, 2004, at Warrenton Health and Rehabilitation Center, Warrenton, Ga. Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Monday, Jan. 19, 2004, at Mineral Springs Baptist Church with the Rev. Phil Bray and Rev. Boyd Reeves officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery. Miss Oxford was a native of Washington County but lived in Glascock County around the Mitchell area most of her life. She was a member of Fort Creek Baptist Church. Aunt Mat was a very loving and devoted person, she loved her Lord and was faithful to her church and Jesus Christ. She also loved her family very much. Her survivors are two sisters, Mary V. Denton and Betty Chalker both of Gibson, she had a host of nieces and nephews. Pallbeares were Ronnie Chalker, Jimmy Reddick, Cody Reddick, Tommy Cope, Russell Tharpe and Tommy Yarbrough. Honorary Pallbearers were Harvey Pearson, Kenneth Huff, Kenneth Reeves, Donnie Jones and Barry Brassell. Sheppard Funeral Home of Gibson was in charge of arrangements.
