AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Emma Tuten Hornsby, 83, entered into rest on Saturday, January 21, 2006 at St. Joseph Hospital.
Funeral Services were held Tuesday , January 24, 2006 at Bible Deliverance Temple, 1857 Fenwick Street, Augusta, with Dr. H.K. McKnight, Dr. Kelly McKnight, and Rev. Brian Cowart officiating. Interment followed in Hillcrest Memorial Park , Deans Bridge Road, Augusta.
Pallbearers were Will Hogan, George Tuten, Billy Tuten, Tommy Tuten, Grover Tuten, Ronnie Tuten, Jessie Hornsby, Jr. and William Hornsby.
Mrs. Hornsby was a member of Bible Deliverance Temple and was formerly employed with Hollingsworth Fine Products for more than 40 years.
Survivors include her husband, Jessie Hornsby; daughter and son-in-law, Patsy (Larry) Peterson, Thomson; sisters, Evelyn Siebold and Ruby Brown , both of Arkansas; brother, Ralph Newman, Chicago; stepchildren, Jessie, Glen, Milton, Gene and Elizabeth; grandchildren, Angela Gibson and Teri Hogan; five great-grandchildren; she is also survived by a number of step grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Elliott Sons Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
