Mr. Billy R. Perdue
Retired Textile Worker

THOMSON, Ga. - Mr. Billy R. Perdue, 71, beloved husband of Mrs. Martha Perdue, died Saturday, January 14, 2006, in the McDuffie Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, January 19, 2006 in the Faith Baptist Church with Rev. Don Widener officiating. Burial followed in the Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Steve Perdue, Wayne Perdue, Rickey Johnson, Verlyn Neal, Frank Locklear and William Stephens.

Mr. Perdue was a native of Glascock County, but had lived most of his life in Thomson. He was a son of the late Roger and Pearl Kitchens Perdue. He retired after 45 years of service from Kingsley Mills and was a member of Faith Baptist Church.

He is survived by wife, Martha (May) Perdue of Thomson; daughter, Debra Johnson of Thomson; stepdaughter and her husband, Angie and William Stephens of Dearing; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Helen and L.W. Moore and Joyce and Dennis Bradford, all of Thomson; five grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
