Bentley-Johnson Mr. and Mrs. Alton Bentley of Albany and Mr. and Mrs. Tim Collins of Dalton joyously announce the engagement of their daughter, Brooks Allison Bentley to Barney Lewis Johnson, III, son of Mr. and Mrs. Barney L. Johnson, Jr., of Thomson. Miss Bentley is the granddaughter of Mrs. Sylvia McCurry, the late Don McCurry, Mrs. Trudelle Bentley, and the late C.G. Bentley, Jr., all of Lincolnton. She is a 2001 graduate of Northwest Whitfield High School in Dalton. She will graduate in May from Valdosta State University with a bachelor of science in sports medicine / athletic training. Mr. Johnson is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Johnson of Thomson, Mrs. Rachel Meadows and the late Ray Meadows of Augusta. He is a 2000 graduate of Thomson High School. He received a bachelor of business administration in marketing from Valdosta State University in 2004. He is currently working in Valdosta.
