Safety Stop The speed of vehicles on Ellington Airline and the frequency of accidents at the intersection prompted commissioners and road department officials to consider obtaining the services of a traffic engineer. The McDuffie County Commission recently voted to install a four-way stop at the corner of Ellington Airline Road and Hobbs Mill Road, an intersection located about two miles west-southwest of Dearing. Commissioners instead voted during their Jan. 18 meeting to have the stop signs installed on Ellington Airline by March 1. Web posted on Thursday, January 27, 2005
