Springfield Baptist Church plans ball to raise money for local girl's surgery

On Feb. 3, Springfield Baptist Church and the Youth Department of Springfield Baptist Church will sponsor a ball to help raise needed funds in order for Kie'Seonna Harris to have a much-needed surgery.

The ball will be held from 6-11 p.m. at the Senior Citizens building, located on Greene Street in Thomson.

Donations may be made to the Kie'Seonna Harris Fund at SunTrust Bank, or to the church on behalf of Kie'Seonna. For more information, please contact the church at 706-595-5829 or contact Youth Elder Louise Burgess at 706-595-2449.

This is the second event sponsored by the Springfield Baptist Church and the Youth Department for Kie'Seonna. The first event was a carnival.

Presently, the church is at 75 percent of its goal of $20,000.
