Mr. Thomas Drayton Gantt, Sr.
Retired welding inspector

THOMSON, Ga. - Mr. Thomas Drayton Gantt, Sr., 90, beloved husband of Mrs. Anita Gantt, died Tuesday, January 23, 2007, in the Thomson Manor Health Care Center.

Graveside services were held 2 p.m. Thursday, January 25, 2007, in the Westview Cemetery with Rev. John Cook officiating.

Grandsons served as pallbearers.

A native of Barnwell, SC, Mr. Gantt was a son of the late Richard L. and Hope McGill Gantt, Sr. He was a Deacon and member of Boiling Springs Presbyterian Church, and retired from Daniels Construction as a welding inspector.

He is survived by wife of 64 years, Anita Camalier Gantt, two sons Tommy (Laura) Gantt, Jr., of Thomson, and Douglas R. (Christine) Gantt of Hephzibah, three daughters, Lynette (Hill) McClellan, Sr., of Hephzibah, Margaret Gantt, of Thomson, and Brenda J. (Tony) Turbeville, of Dunn, NC, two brothers, Fuller Gantt, and Richard L. Gantt, Jr., both of Boiling Springs, SC, nine grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild, several nieces and nephews.

Curtis Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
