Mrs. Betty W. Weathers
Retired inspector

THOMSON, Ga. - Mrs. Betty W. Weathers, 80, widow of Mr. Thomas F. Weathers, Jr., died Wednesday, January 24, 2007, at her residence.

Funeral service was held 2 p.m. Friday, January 26, 2007, in the Bethel Baptist Church, with Rev. Tim Ferrell officiating. Burial followed in the Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers were Chris Wallace, Mike Gurley, Edward Gay, Donnie Hadden, Robbie Dixon, Doug Lord, Travis Hadden, and Jonathan Hadden.

A native of Jefferson County, Mrs. Weathers was a daughter of the late Otis and Eunice Cato Wren. She had retired from Thomson Company after 37 years of service as an inspector and was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church.

She is survived by a daughter, Gloria Inglett, of Harlem; son L.G. Warr of Snellville, Ga.; step-daughter, Patricia W. Taylor of Hephizah; step-son, Thomas F. Weathers, III, of Thomson; sister, Joann Stone of Ranger, Ga., eight grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Curtis Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
