Ms. Martin has been a CNS on the medical/surgical floor for more than 30 years. During that time, she has rendered excellent care to her patients and support to family members, he co-workers said.
"Lana treats everyone the same 'special,'" said Peggy Barmore, Chief Nurse Executive. "She makes sure that all of their needs are met, and is frequently complemented in our patient surveys. We all appreciate Lana and her Golden Heart!"
Recently, Ms. Martin suffered two personal losses in her family. Despite her grieving heart, she works with a smile and the everlasting commitment to her patients, her co-workers said.
"I feel that she truly has a 'Golden Heart,' and is worthy of this honor," said Teresa Rice, Inpatient Clinical Coordinator.
