LINCOLNTON, Ga. - Mr. Monroe Leverett of Lovelace Road entered into rest on Friday, January 27, 2006 at Medical College of Georgia.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, February 1, 2006 at First Baptist Church with Rev. Dennis J. Quinn officiating. Burial was in Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Leverett was a native of Lincoln County and was a retired Georgia Pacific employee.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Maudell Smith Leverett of the home; two daughters, Mary Lee Leverett and Linda L. Jones, Lincolnton; seven sons, Bonnie A. (Lillie) Leverett, Shelton S. (Veronica) Leverett, Irvington, NJ, Richard M. Leverett, Gary, Ind., Robert L. (Julia) Leverett, Nathaniel (Jean) Leverett, Lincolnton, William I. (Connie) Leverett, Atlanta and Gregory E. (Rhonda) Leverett, Thomson; one brother, Ray Curry, Thomson; 25 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandson, Swain and Josiah.
Norris W. Gunby, Sr. Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
