Mrs. Norma Jean Ashley McKinney

AUGUSTA, Ga.- Entered into rest on January 27, 2005, at the University Hospital, Mrs. Norma Jean Ashley McKinney, 70, of Augusta. Mrs. McKinney was the wife of the late John Robert McKinney and the daughter of the late Henry Ashley and Blanche Ashmore Ashley of Lincolnton. She was a graduate of Lincolnton High School and had attended Crossroads Holiness Church in Lincolnton.
Family members include two daughters, Nancy Ansley-McCrory of Thomson, Wanda M. Lowe and husband, Victor of Harlem; four grandchildren, Victoria Ansley, Stephen Ansley, Caroline Lowe and Robert Lowe; three step-daughters, Carolyn Clem, Sharron M. Bragg, Joyce M. Patrick; several step-grandchildren; a sister and brother-in-law, Elizabeth and Herman Thacker of Augusta and a special niece, Robin Griffin of North Augusta, S.C.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. McKinney is also predeceased by an infant son, John Ashley McKinney; a sister, Lucille Edmunds of Lincolnton and a step-son, David C. McKinney.
Graveside services were held Saturday, January 29, 2005, 2 p.m. at the McCormick City Cemetery in McCormick, South Carolina with the Rev. Cullen Hicks officiating.
Thomas Poteet and Son Funeral Directors was in charge of arrangements.
