WARRENTON, Ga.- Mr. William Thomas (Bill) Davis, 82, beloved husband of Mrs. Inez Usry Davis, of Warrenton, entered into rest Saturday, January 22, 2005, at McDuffie Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 25, 2005 at Lowe Funeral Home, with Rev. Allen Holbrook officiating. Burial followed at Sallie Hill Cemetery, Warrenton.
Mr. Davis was native of Warren County. Big Bill, as he was known in those days, was manager of the Veterans Club from January 16, 1953 until January 1, 1996 retiring because of his health. He was also a member of Warrenton First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife Inez U. Davis; two daughters Sharon Lynn Greaves, Martinez, and Debra C. Norris, Thomson; one brother Bob Davis Aiken, SC; one sister, Vally McDonald, Warrenton; and three grandchildren: Stephen Norris, Kacey Norris, and Taylor Norris.
Pallbearers were Ray McDonald, Johnny Davis, Robert Polk, William Wood, Terry Johnson, Jim McMichael, Colen Todd, and Bobby Newsome. Honorary pallbearers were Warren DeBeaugrine, Warren Jackson, Benny McGahee, Horace Mayo, Joe Peebles, Gene Rabun, and Al Wheeler.
Lowe Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
