Fair tax deserves a fair chance

Dear Editor,

I get depressed every time I look at my paycheck. Half of it disappears as the government takes the money I've worked hard to earn. I have no control over the amount of tax the government takes. Then April 15 comes around and I have to deal with the stress of filing a 1040, maybe paying AMT, make sure I've made no mistakes so the IRS won't come knocking. All American citizens are subject to the same agony.

HR 25 eliminates all that depression, stress, and agony by asking citizens to pay a consumption tax when they pay for new goods and services. We will get our whole, hard-earned, paycheck. We will have control over how much tax we pay according to how much we spend. The government sends us a check at the beginning of the month to prepay the taxes we'll spend on essential goods up to the poverty level according to the size of our family. No more loopholes for big business and the rich, all illegals and black market businesses will now pay, and the IRS will no longer exist as it does today.

Sound too good to be true? Call your Congressman or Senator and tell them you support the Fair Tax legislation. We the people can lead the effort to make this positive change in the way our great country taxes its citizens.
