Mrs. Dorothy Logan
THOMSON, Ga.- Funeral services for Mrs. Dorothy Logan of Pine Lane, Thomson, were held Monday, Feb. 2, 2004 at 2 p.m. at the Springfield Baptist Church, with Rev. Henderson Roberson, Jr. officiating. Interment was in the First Mt. Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery, Winfield.
Mrs. Logan was a native of Greenwood, Miss., and had lived in Thomson for many years where she taught in the McDuffie County School System and retired after 31 years. She was a graduate of Tuskegee Institute where she received a B.S. degree in Elementary Education. She obtained a Special Education degree from South Carolina State University.
Survivors are three sons, Wendell (Betty) Logan, Oberlin, OH, Alvin Logan, Thomson, Ga., and Howard (Mona) Logan, Dallas, Tex.,; one sister; one brother, several grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Thomson Funeral System was in charge of the arrangements.
