Deacon Joe Boyd DEARING, Ga.- Funeral service for Deacon Joe Boyd of Hobbs Mill Road, Dearing, were held on Saturday, Jan. 31, 2004 at 1 p.m. at the Poplar Head Baptist Church of Christ in Dearing with Rev. David Lowe officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery. Survivors are his devoted wife of 65 years, Mrs. Pennie L. Boyd of Dearing; children, Fran Boyd of Dearing, William (Barbara) Boyd of Dearing, Polly (Lawson) Hopkins, Sr. of Bronx, N.Y., Mary Boyd of Washington, D.C., Penny Boyd of Washington D.C., Pauline Boyd of Dearing; one brother, Frank Boyd of Springfield, Mass.; 14 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
