APPLING, Ga. - Funeral services for Mr. Johnny West, Jr., 70, Appling, were held on Thursday, January 31, 2008, at 2 p.m. at the New Appling Grove Baptist Church in Appling with the Rev. James Avery officiating. Interment was in the churchyard cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Bernice R. West, Thomson; two stepdaughters, Agnes (Billy) Jones, Brooklyn, N.Y. and Diane (George) Brown, Thomson; one stepson, Flim Ramsey, Thomson; three sisters, devoted sister, Lillie B. West, Appling, Carolyn West, Appling and Rosia L. (Luther) Jones, Augusta; four brothers, John W. West, David West, Albert B. (Bessie) West and Sam West, Jr., all of Appling; one uncle, Johnnie T. West; one aunt, Willie M. Lampkin; one brother- in-law, William C. Jones, Sr.; 11 grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Thomson Funeral System was in charge of arrangements.
