Family thankful for accident response

Dear Editor,

Please allow me this opportunity to give a sincere thank you to all that helped with the tractor incident involving my brother, Sonny Smith, on Thursday, Jan. 10.

From the 911 operator, to all those who were so quick to arrive, respond and administer medical attention. I have never before been so proud to see familiar faces, along with strangers, too. All trying to do whatever they could to help.

Thank you to the following: Sheriff Peebles, Deputy Purvis, Tim Sikes and Robert from T&R Truck Repair, David Cheely, Buddy Randolph, the EMT crew (sorry I did not get their names), emergency "responders," emergency room doctors, nurses, and x-ray personnel, Dr. John Bieltz, McDuffie Regional Medical Center staff and personnel.

We appreciate the many calls and visits, but most of all thank you for your prayers.

Sincerely,

Jeannie Rushing and Family

Thomson
