Neal signs with SE Louisiana

Montrel Neal recently became the fourth former Thomson High School football player to continue his college career after finishing at Georgia Military College.

The 6-2, 333 lb. offensive lineman signed with Southeastern Louisiana last week.

Neal helped lead the way for three 1,000-yard rushers on the 2002 AAAA State Championship Thomson team. He was also a huge part of the GMC team for the past two seasons, helping lead the team to a win over fourth-ranked Coffeyville Community College in the Golden Isles Bowl.

Other former Thomson players signing with major colleges from Georgia Military were twin linebackers Casper and Jasper Brinkley going to South Carolina and defensive lineman Willie Williams going to Louisville.
