Delk to wed Duplantier in May ceremony

Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bruce Baker of Clarks Hill, S.C. are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Miss Jennifer Nicole Delk to Mr. David Patrick Duplantier, the son of Mrs. Judith Hepburn Duplantier of Slidell, LA and Mr. Dennis Paul Duplantier of Alexandria, Va.

Miss Delk is also the daughter of Mr. William Henry Delk Jr. of Blackville, S.C. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Lawton Gleaton and Mr. and Mrs. William Henry Delk, Sr. of Blackville. Miss Delk is a former resident of Blackville, S.C. She is a graduate of North Augusta High School in North Augusta, S.C., and a graduate of Augusta State University in Augusta, with a bachelors of science degree in biology. Miss Delk is employed at the Medical College of Georgia as a research assistant.

Mr. Duplantier is the grandson of Mrs. Bettye G. Hepburn and the late Mr. Samuel Joseph Hepburn of Slidell, La., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Leon Paul Duplantier of New Orleans, LA. Mr. Duplantier is a graduate of West Springfield High School in Springfield, Va., and a graduate of Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Va., with a bachelors of science degree in forestry and wildlife. He is employed by Temple-Inland in Thomson as the quality manager.

The couple resides in Thomson. The wedding is planned for Saturday, May 5, 2007, at 6 p.m. at Rose Hill Estate in Aiken, S.C.
