THOMSON, Ga. - Mr. Howell H. "Tildy" Hunt, Sr., 92, of Thomson, widower of Kathryn Hunt, died Saturday, February 11, 2006, in the McDuffie Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services were held 2 p.m. Monday, February 13, 2006, in the Curtis Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bob Halstead, Jr. officiating.
Burial followed in Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers were grandsons and great-grandsons.
Mr. Hunt was a native of McDuffie County, a former service state owner and operator, a member of Thomson First United Methodist Church and the Thomson Lions Club.
Mr. Hunt was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Kathryn Thomson Hunt, and is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Howell H. "Bubba" and Patsy of Thomson; a daughter and son-in-law, Janice and Bob Halstead, Sr. of Kennesaw, Ga.; five grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
