EVANS, Ga. -- Mrs. Ruth Rickerson Maddox, 90, entered into rest Monday, February 7, 2005, at Westwood.
The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Thursday, February 10, 2005 at Platt's Belair Road Chapel with Rev. Ken Wilson and Rev. Pete Strals officiating. Interment followed in Bellevue Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Maddox was born in Augusta, and was a member Pierce Memorial United Methodist Church. She had retired from the Gracewood State school and hospital after 22 years of service. She was preceded in death by her husband Audley Joseph Maddox and a great-grandson Jacob Bessman.
She is survived by two sons, Donald Maddox of Augusta and Randy Maddox and his wife Sue Maddox of Thomson; one daughter Joanne Maddox Bessman of Martinez; two sisters, Della Bunch and Edna Jewell both of Augusta; grandchildren, Jamie (Lisa) Bessman, Joey Bessman, Jennifer Bessman, Kellie Maddox (Daniel) Rhyne, and Kristy Maddox, great grandchild ren, Bailie Bessman, Maddy McAdams, Conner Bessman and Brantley Paquette.
Pallbearers were nephews.
