THOMSON, Ga. -- Mrs. Reba Johnson Phillips went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, February 9, 2005.
Born April 8, 1921, in Copperhill, TN, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Benjamin and Emma Dilbeck Johnson. Reba was preceded in death by her husbands, Lawrence James Allen and J.P. Phillips.
She had made Thomson her home for 52 years, was a devoted homemaker and member of Second Baptist Church.
Her joyful and loving spirit will be forever missed by her children, Lawrence Gene Allen, Thomson, Loretta Allen Stutz, Charlotte, NC, and Sue Allen (William) Walker, North Augusta; her sister, Grace Burger, Copperhill, TN; a devoted sister-in-law, Cleo Johnson, McCaysville, GA; grandchildren, Rex Allen, Jeffrey Allen, Allen Stutz, Gary Stutz, Michele Carr, Melissa Brown, Mark Walker, Todd Walker and great-grandchildren, Dustin Allen, Judson Allen, Ashlee Carr, Lyndsey Holt, Preston Brown, and Jessica Walker.
Funeral services were held at Second Baptist Church, on Friday, February 11, 2005 at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Ron Drawdy officiating. Interment followed at Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers were Rex Allen, Jeffrey Allen, Allen Stutz, Gary Stutz, Tony Carr, Jr., Paul Brown, Mark Walker, and Todd Walker.
