Mr. James L. Thigpen
Retired Truck Driver

THOMSON, Ga. - Mr. James L. Thigpen, 84, of Mount Pleasant Road, Thomson, entered into rest Feb. 13, 2004, at McDuffie Regional Medical Center.

Husband of the late Louise Hall Thigpen, Mr. Thigpen's survivors include son, David Thigpen, Thomson; stepdaughters, Mary Sanders-Lake, Eatonton, Janelle Dent, Thomson and Martha Jackson, Thomson; 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Mr. Thigpen was a life-long resident of McDuffie County. He was retired as a truck driver for National Homes and a member of Mesena United Methodist Church.

Funeral services were held Sunday, Feb. 15, 2004, at Beggs Funeral Home chapel. Interment was in the Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens, Thomson, with Sue Meehan officiating.

Pallbearers were grandsons and great-grandsons.

Beggs Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
