The Thomson varsity boys basketball team has made its way into the state playoffs again this year. The Bulldogs defeated Hephzibah in the Region 3-AAA playoffs but fell in the semi finals to Glenn Hills.
On Feb. 15, Thomson beat the Rebels 67-62 to advance and face the Spartans. The next night, the Bulldogs fell 50-69, and were relegated to the consolation game against Washington County on Feb 17.
Thomson, who split its regular-season games with the Golden Hawks, came out on the losing end in round three 65-71 to receive the region four-seed in the state playoffs. On Feb. 24, the Bulldogs will travel to face Region 2-AAA top seed, Carver of Columbus, in the opening round.
