Mrs. Effie K. Tankersley
Retired

THOMSON, Ga. - Mrs. Effie K. Tankersley, 84, of Thomson, entered into rest February 15, 2006 at University Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late James H. Tankersley.

Survivors include, sons, Buddy Tankersley, William Tankersley and Frank Tankersley, all of Thomson; daughters, Dot Whitener and Mary Dunaway both of Thomson; brother, Bob Keller- Grovetown; sisters, Helen King and Elsie Downs both of Harlem.; nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren

Mrs. Tankersley was born in Kingsport, Tenn. and was the daughter of the late Thomas M. Keller and the late Leila Mae Hayes Keller. She was retired from garment manufacturing and was retired as manager of Video Visions. Mrs. Tankersley was also a member of Grace Baptist Church.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Friday , February 17, 2006 at Grace Baptist Church, Warrenton with Rev. Bill South officiating. Interment followed in Westview Cemetery.

Pallbearers were David Land, Fred Dunaway, Jr., Daniel Whitener, Frank Tankersley, Jr., J.T. Tankersley and Lawson Tankersley.

Beggs Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
