CAMAK, Ga. - Mr. James W. Earney, Sr., 98, of Camak, entered into rest February 19, 2006 at Windermere Nursing Home. He was the beloved husband of the late Rena Payne Earney.
Survivors include, sons, James W. Earney, Jr. (Rhonda), Summerville, S. C. and William J. Earney (Connie), Camak; sister, Margaret Elizabeth Smith, Charlotte, N.C.; grandchildren, Debbie Blum, Summerville, S.C., Kay Williams- Greenville, S.C., Raegan Earney (Michele), Orlando, Fl., Timothy Earney- Fayetteville, N.C. and Greg Earney, Summerville, S.C.; great-grandchildren, Cara and Melody Blum, Summerville, S.C., Alec and Cassidy Earney, Orlando, Fl.; nephews, Bill Smith (Coleen) and Earnie Smith (Mary Anne), both of Charlotte, N.C. and special friends, Milt Watters and Mary Anne Jackson.
Mr. Earney lived most of his life in Charlotte N. C. and was the son of the late William A. Earney and the late Agnes Alexander Earney. He was retired from Block Drug Company as a Sales Representative. Mr. Earney appreciated and followed Little League baseball, the World Series and college basketball. Mr. Earney was also a member of Pritchard Memorial Baptist Church.
Graveside services were held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, February 22, 2006, at Sharon Memorial Park, Charlotte, N.C. with Rev. Stan Hiser officiating.
Beggs Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
