DEARING, Ga. - Mrs. Evelyn Pipkins, 73, wife of Mr. James M. Pipkins, quietly and peacefully went home to be with the Lord on Monday, February 20, 2006.
Evelyn was born in Berlin, Germany, and has resided in Dearing for the past 30 years. She took great pride in her family and home and most enjoyed time spent with her husband, children and grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband James M. Pipkins; three sisters, Aloysia Poole, Dagmar Johnson and Eleanor Melanson; five daughters, Mary Oglesby, Maria McCorkle, Stacy Lambe, Becky Williams and Diane Hoffman; six sons, Manny Mariani, Stephen Mariani, Andrew Mariani, Mark Mariani, Frank Pipkins and Dean Pipkins; 17 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services were held Wednesday, February 22, 2006, at 2 p.m. at Starling Funeral Home. Interment was in the Westview Cemetery in Thomson.
Pallbearers were Frank Pipkins, Henry Oglesby, Robert Williams, Skeetter McCorkle, Steven Lambe, and Fred Hoffman.
Starling Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
