He is the center for the Bulldogs: senior Ivan Eberhart.
Ivan journeyed to Thomson to play for the Bulldogs all the way from Rock Hill, S.C.
"I've been playing basketball since I was three or four years old," said Ivan. "It's always been something I loved. I just wanted to come to a team where I was appreciated."
Ivan said he likes it here in Thomson and was welcomed with open arms by the team.
He loves watching the North Carolina Tarheels and watching Tracy McGrady lead the Orlando Magic.
While he's watching his favorite team, some of his favorite colleges have been watching him.
"Ivan is averaging 14.9 points per game and averaging 8.5 rebounds per game," said Coach Michael Thomas. "Wofford College and Armstrong University are among the colleges that have really had their eye on him."
Many of Ivan's teammates and friends agree on one thing about him: he's quiet.
"He's quiet, but spontaneous," said teammate James Farmer. "Just when the time is right, he does something to surprise us all."
Ivan says that he has felt right at home at THS. He's made many new friends and many memories.
"Not only is he a great basketball player, but a great friend as well," said classmate Hanna Poston.
