Who ever said that a girly girl could not be tough?
Thomson High Senior Selena Taylor is joining the military.
"Sometimes I am offended when people say that I won't make it in the military, but I just use that as motivation to make it and prove to people that laugh at me that they were wrong," she said.
Her path to the Air Force has been filled with beauty pageants and stints on the Thomson High dance team.
During her 10th grade year, she was a member of the dance line and also won Miss Photogenic and 1st Runner-up in the Miss Thomson High Pageant. In 11th grade, she participated in cheerleading; and then over the summer, she competed for the Miss Teen Georgia title.
She also serves as the Co-Editor of The Bulldog Bark.
