THOMSON, Ga. -- Mrs. Myrle B. Dozier, 77, widow of Mr. Richard Hawes Dozier, died Friday, February 18, 2005 in the McDuffie Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, February 20, 2005 in the Thomson First Baptist Church with Dr. Jim Ramsey officiating. Burial was in Westview Cemetery.
Mrs. Dozier was a native of Stone Mountain, but had lived in Thomson for many years. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the D.A.R., the Pine Needle Garden Club, and the Thomson First Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Ruth Sunday School Class.
Survivors include three daughters, Judy Wyatt, Laura Gantt, and Harriet Reeves, all of Thomson; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Logan Adams, Richard Dozier, Dick Dozier, Thomas M. Dozier III, Bill Dozier and Chad Foster.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Thomson First Baptist Church Family Life Center or to the W.M.U. at Thomson First Baptist Church.
