THOMSON, Ga.- Mr. David Shelton of County Line Road, Thomson, entered into rest Feb. 17, 2004.
He was the beloved husband of Janelle Black Shelton for 48 years. Survivors include wife, Janelle Black Shelton, Thomson; sons, Ronnie Shelton (Janet), Thomson, Dwight Shelton (Donna), Thomson; brother, Moses Shelton, Wrens; sister, Mildred Coxwell, Wrens; four grandchildren, Clint Borders, D'Ann Shelton, Danny Shelton and Dawn Shelton.
Mr. Shelton was born in Glascock County but lived in the Columbia and McDuffie County area most of his life. He was retired as a Mechanic Supervisor after 38 years with Thomson Company. Mr. Shelton was also a member of Hill Baptist Church.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m., Friday, Feb. 20, 2004, at the Beggs Funeral Home Chapel with his son, Rev. Ronnie Shelton officiating. Interment was in Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers were Abe Shelton, Roger Coxwell, Billy Wiilliford, Randy Black, Tony Black, and Thomas Shelton.
