Mr. Ronald J. Whitaker Retired Foreman DEARING, Ga.- Mr. Ronald J. Whitaker, 59, of 1345 Randall-Hunt Road, SE, Dearing, entered into rest Feb. 23, 2004 at University Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Ann B. Whitaker and son of the late James F. Whitaker and Rachel Crowell Whitaker. Survivors include: his wife, Ann B. Whitaker, Dearing; daughter, Carey W. Dougherty, Augusta; mother, Rachel C. Whitaker, Thomson; brother, James F. "Jimmy" Whitaker, Thomson; sisters, Christine Taylor and Carolyn Brewer both of Thomson. Mr. Whitaker lived in the Harlem-Thomson area most of his life and was a Methodist. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era and was a retired foreman with APAC Road Construction Company. Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2004 at Westview Cemetery with Rev. Bruce Poss officiating. Beggs Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
